OK. I’ll admit it. I’m a Lost addict. So of course I skipped the finale of American Idol in favor of the Lost season ender.
So… Just who are The Others and why have they taken the boy? Will the raft guys make it back to the island? What the heck is that monster? A Morlock, maybe? eeewwwww How did the French woman’s ship get so far inland? What does Lock know that he’s not telling? And what is at the bottom of that shaft…
It’s going to be a long time ’til fall.

There’s some great theorizing going on over on some of the Lost boards about the monster being a swarm of nanotech, which would explain the black swarming something that was around during the monster attack scene last night.

That would make sense, I suppose. But I thought I saw a hairy arm as it pulled Lock down the mole hole. But since I didn’t record it, I have no way of confirming that impression.

We have it saved on our TiVo — there’s lots to review! I wonder why they took so long to take Walt (there had been many opportunities on the island!), and I wonder if Charlie’s back on the road to addiction. I was struck by the increasing appeal to the parent/child relationship… Claire/Aaron, Michael/Walt, Locke/Mom&Dad, JAck/Dad, and Sawyer/Mom&Dad. Seems like a recurring theme to me but that just may be them appealing to a certain audience. I also noted the very mechanical sounds coming from the security system and found that interesting.

Alas! I am TiVo challenged! I could have recorded it on VHS but stupidly didn’t. I’m sure that brighter minds than mine will have it all figured out before September.
I hate to see Charlie use what’s in that statue.
